Literature Class Poster and Handout Design

LLC POSTER LLC Handout

These designs were created to promote a new summer class at Appalachian State University.

The poster design features modern lettering as well as a banner describing the class. the background image is composed of a photo of the city of Jerusalem, as well as a pattern of transparent Israel and Palestine flags. The handout features a similar design, though the photo of Jerusalem was removed to make space for text. A few book covers and movie posters were added to show some of the class’s areas of interest. The handout was made in black-white to be easily re-printable.

Ignite T-Shirt Design

Ignite T-Shirt

This design was created to compliment the Ignite logo design.

The design takes the idea of the original logo and follows its look, but adds an entire hand, which looks similar to 18th and 19th century woodblock art. The text of a bible verse is also added to the back.

Ignite Youth Group Logo

Ignite Logo Title

This logo design was created for the “Ignite” youth group in association with Foscoe Christian Church of Boone, North Carolina.

The logo utilizes an image of a hand holding a burning match, with the match replacing the “i” in  the word “ignite”. The “t” in ignite is also shaped in a particular way that is indicative of the Christian cross, and its placement next to the light of the match signifies the youth group’s aspirations to illicit spiritual illumination within its members.

Mountaineer Strength & Conditioning Club Logo

Mountaineer Strength & Conditioning Logo

 

This logo was created for and used by the Appalachian State AAF Advertising Club to promote the Mountaineer Strength and Conditioning Club at Appalachian State University.

The logo incorporates both a male figure and a female figure posing in positions which signify strength. Both figures stand upon a cliff/mountain shape, which is indicative of the “mountaineer” piece of the club’s title. The “T” in the word “Mountaineer” is also replaced with a man holding barbells, another image which signifies strength and conditioning.

Vertigo Poster

Vertigo Poster

This poster was designed as a tribute for the film, “Vertigo”, directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

This poster utilizes a minimalist design and features a character from the film, which is identified by two separate personalities of which are separated by a white dividing line in the center of the poster. At the bottom of the dividing line is the shape of a woman falling, which is a recurring theme of the film. The poster also utilizes a color scheme reminiscent of the posters promoting the film’s release.

FotWCPL Poster

FotWCPL Poster

This poster was designed and used by the Appalachian State AAF Advertising Club to promote the Friends of the Watauga County Public Library in Boone, North Carolina.

The poster utilizes the logo for the FotWCPL along with the slogan, “Read. Support. Give.” below. The poster also contains information about how and why to support the organization, and features graphics illustrating rewards for support at the bottom. A small black-and-white version was also created  for easy reproduction.

Friends of the Watauga County Public Library Logo

FotWCPL Logo

This logo was created for  and used by the Appalachian State AAF Advertising Club to promote the “Friends of the Watauga County Public Library” a fundraising campaign for the library found in Boone, North Carolina.

The logo’s graphic is composed of a colorful open-book shape, with various pages reaching towards the center of the book, in which a heart floats. The book is meant to represent the library’s funders, who aid the library through finances given out of love and care for the library.

CCF COREgroups Logo

Core Groups Logo

The “CoreGroups” logo was created for the small groups of Campus Christian Fellowship at Appalachian State University.

The logo is meant to be simple and straightforward, with an attractive icon of the core of the earth used in place of the “o” in “Core”.

CCF Immersion Logo

Immersion Logo

This logo was created for the Tuesday “Immersion” worship nights at Campus Christian Fellowship.

The logo features a graphic composed of an “i” standing within water. The “i” is also meant to represent an individual stepping into the water and immersing himself in worship.
